Marketing on the Internet
Take a moment to think about how you would really answer this question. If given enough thought just about any business owner who utilizes the Internet for any purpose will likely find that whether or not they intentionally organized an Internet marketing campaign, they may already be marketing their products and services on the Internet. This article will examine some subtle ways business owners may already be marketing their business on the Internet.

Do you have a website for your business? Business owners who answer yes to this question are already marketing their products or services online just by virtue of the fact that they have a website online. Having a live website means there is the potential for curious Internet users to access your website. You may not be actively promoting your website but you may still find that your website generates interest in your products despite the lack of promotional endeavors; this is a form of passive marketing.

Do you participate in message boards and include a link to your website in your signature? Again business owners who answer yes to this question are already marketing their website online. Savvy business owners realize the importance of participation in industry related message boards to create an interest in their products and services, establish themselves as knowledgeable about the industry and offer a link to their own website even if it is in the signature line of their posts. However, even business owners who do not realize this may already be inadvertently enjoying the benefits of Internet marketing which result from message board participation just by doing something they enjoy and may be doing as a form of leisure activity.

Do you include keywords which are relevant to your business in the content of your website? Business owners who answer yes to this question are also already marketing on the Internet by optimizing their website for these keywords. These search engine optimization (SEO) affects the websites whether or not they were even aware of the concept of keyword density and how it can help to SEO a website. Business owners will likely use certain words often depending on the type of products and services they offer just because it is natural and logical to do so. This tendency, however, can result in search engines boosting your website rankings for these particular keywords. The concept of SEO is much more involved and complex than simply using keywords frequently but business owners can gain some benefit just by naturally applying relevant keywords to their website.

Do you solicit feedback from your customers online? This is yet another example of how business owners may be accidentally marketing their business on the Internet. Most business owners realize the importance of soliciting feedback from customers for business purposes and business owners who offer products online might solicit feedback in the form of online surveys. Although the business owners may be doing this simply for a business purpose the fact that it is done online makes it fall into the category of Internet marketing.

We have already discussed several ways in which business owners may already be marketing online but what about business owners who want to have an increased online presence? Business owners who may already be marketing online accidentally may wish to launch a full scale Internet marketing campaign. The best way to do this is to hire a consultant with experience in Internet marketing to assist you in creating a campaign which is effective for your target audience.

Are You Already Marketing On The Internet?, by Jorge Pinkus

1. When you make your first sale, follow-up with the customer. You could follow-up with a "thank you" email and include an advertisement for other products you sell. You could follow-up every few months.

2. You could upsell to your customers. When they're at your order page, tell them about a few extra related products you have for sale. They could just add it to their original order.

3. Tell your customers if they refer four customers to your web site, they will receive a full rebate of their purchase price. This will turn one sale into three sales.

4. When you sell a product, give your customers the option of joining an affiliate program so they can make commissions selling your product. This will multiply the sale you just made.

5. Sell the reprint/reproduction rights to your products. You could include an ad on or with the product for other products you sell. You could make sales for the reproduction rights and sales on the back end product.

6. You could cross promote your product with other businesses' products in a package deal. You can include an ad or flyer for other products you sell and have other businesses selling for you.

7. When you ship out or deliver your product, include a coupon for other related products you sell in the package. This will attract them to buy more products from you.

8. Send your customers a catalog of add-on products for the original product they purchased. This could be upgrades, special services, attachments, etc. If they enjoy your product they will buy the extra add-ons.

9. Sell gift certificates for your products. You'll make sales from the purchase of the gift certificate, when the recipient cashes it in. They could also buy other items from your web site.

10. Send your customers free products with their product package. The freebies should have your ad printed on them. It could be bumper stickers, ball caps, t-shirts etc. This will allow other people to see your ad and order.
List Joe
Imagine this:

You wake up one day, the sun is shining, the birds are chirping, just another perfect day in your home business world (how's that about painting an image, eh?)...

... you log into a website, copy and paste some email ad copy, press send, and...

Voila, you just emailed 5,000 people. You expect to profit by at least $200 or so for that mailing.

But that's not even the start of it.

You have 8 more email lists to go, and that's just for this one day.

This is definitely not only a dream come true! But, better, it's a reality.

There's a new website called List Joe, and it uses a brand new concept in list building.
http://viralurl.com/jpinkus/9listbuilder

It's now extremely easy for virtually anybody to build multiple lists using just one link.

Plus, if you go pro, you can earn $100 per sale on the special offer upgrade. And even if you don't spend a dime, you will be building your list in a steady and guaranteed way. For instance, without paying anything, I had the very first day the access to send my message to 280 eager and reading subscribers. Now, I'm upgrading!

Not to mention the fact that your downline will be building up to 9 (yes, nine!) lists for you all at once.

Seriously, if you know an easier way to build your list and make money at the same time, let me know.

I have not seen anything as well put together as this site in a long time.

Take a look now and tell me if you agree:

Why an Action Plan in Time Management? by Jorge Pinkus http://successvoyager.blinkweb.com/1/2008/08/why-an-action-plan-in-time-management-by-jorge-pinkus-66fb2/ How to Build Your List of Followers (Constant Buyers) the Success Voyager Way
List Builder - a Great Tool for your Success Voyage Arsenal

Do you have an action plan in your time management scheme?

Last night while writing this articles, I had to check myself. The last thing I want to do is tell the readers how to manage time and be a hypocrite.

The writing of these articles is rewarding since I realized that managing your time includes using your intelligence and skills, as well as putting an action plan into play.

Action plans are lists of responsibilities that instruct a person "to carry out to achieve an objective." The list centers on the goals immediately needing achievement on demand. The list or action plan enables you to center your attention on the specific obligations required of you.

The marketplace has several software programs that help those of us that have busy schedules and time management is a struggle. The software programs available provide tools for storing names, addresses, and other important information in a secure filing cabinet.

Many of the large companies are wise to invest in this type of software, since it is a source for managing time. However if you own a smaller company, the software programs are often expensive so you might want to resort to some of the software programs that offer similar tools for organizing, such as Microsoft Outlook, to manage your time. Microsoft Outlook has book organizers, address books, and other tools sufficient enough to help smaller businesses manage their business.

If you are storing files on your computer, be sure to backup your data so nothing is lost. Backups are essential for protecting important documents, and if spares you headaches if your hard drive fails, and your data is lost. If you are, storing data on discs or other storage mediums be sure to include a file name that you will remember. For example, if you are storing birth certificates or identifications in a file, name the file accordingly. This will help you stay organized, and ahead of the game. File extensions are connecting files to a particular file.

Therefore, if you have outdated files, you might want to add a few extensions and label the file accordingly. This will help you get right to the important documents, and have the piece of mind you need if the outdated documents require reopening. If you have documents, lying around or in your computer that you no longer need, make sure this is true and toss them in the garbage.

Why hang on to something that you will not need again? Wasted documents take up time and space in the sense that if you are searching for a document and continue to stumble on papers you no longer need, it is a waste of time.

Most business requires maximum speed on computers. Moreover, when you are storing outdated files, your action in time management plan is out of socket. Getting ahead is organizing and tossing what is wasting space.

Getting the ball rolling is an action plan that results with time management.

Make it happen!

How You Can Develop Your Intuition, by Jorge Pinkus http://successvoyager.blinkweb.com/1/2008/08/how-you-can-develop-your-intuition-by-jorge-pinkus-6046c/ How to Build Your List of Followers (Constant Buyers) the Success Voyager Way
Get Jorge Pinkus
Have you had that experience when all of a sudden you just had this huge hunch that something is about to happen, and to your surprise, that intuition was eventually translated to reality?

When you feel strongly about something without logical basis to it, that's called intuition. It comes in three impressions: clairvoyance or "the third eye," sensing clearly and feeling through listening.
Clairvoyance is when your eye goes beyond what it can see. This is when you know what is happening somewhere.

Sensing clearly is basically what we refer to as "hunch" or "gut feel." This is the time when you are overwhelmed with a feeling and you can't explain it and all you can say is "I just know."

On the other hand, feeling through listening or clairaudience is being able to "listen" between the lines. Intuition also happens at times when a certain sound, whatever it is - be it a car's honk or a bird's twitting - ushers in an intense feeling.

They say only a number of people are gifted with intuition. Astrologers even insist that people born under the Scorpio or Pisces signs are naturally intuitive and that it almost borders on E.S.P. But studies have been made in different places and countries that proclaim that anyone can develop intuition.

Why the need to develop intuition, you ask? Why not let your emotional and psychological state as it is? First and foremost, intuition promotes good communication. It makes you more sensitive to the people around you; it often keeps you from hurting those you love because you are intuitive enough to understand them. Intuition also makes you far more creative than ever. Intuition means releasing more creative juices for any means of expression. Lastly, intuition has a healing power. This healing power is not in the physical sense, but in delving deep into your soul to eradicate some negative energy buried in it.

With that being said, are you ready to develop your intuition? Here are seven ways to unlock this gift:

1. Hypnosis
Oh yes, get yourself hypnotized. Hypnosis is not limited to watching a pendulum move back and forth. Perform self-hypnosis or you can avail of hypnotic programs that can strengthen your intuition.

2. Meditation
Meditating means finding peace in yourself. If your mind and heart are cluttered with too many baggage and hurt, you wouldn't be able to quiet down that part of you that could eventually initiate intuition. There are so many ways to meditate: take a yoga class, or just simply practice some breathing that could bring you straight to Zen.

3. Think positive!
A worry-free, fear-free state could do so much to improve your intuitive ability. By staying positive, you attract good energy that would be able to easily recognize imminent feelings and events.

4. Just let go.
What does this mean? If you are on the brink of making a huge decision, let go of all the inhibitions and head to a quiet place where you could find out where the letting go has brought you. Sometimes you just have to listen to the voice within you, and that voice wouldn't come out unless you let go.

5. Never expect.
After letting go of the inhibitions and all those things that stop you from thinking and feeling clearly, never expect for an answer right away. Never expect that the "hunch" would fall on your lap immediately. Give it a little time then you'd just get surprised that -- wham! -- now you have your answer.

6. Believe in your first impressions.
When you see someone for the first time and think that he is a bit too arrogant for your taste, chances are that impression actually holds true. Most of the time, first impressions are brought by intuition.

7. Stay happy!
See? All you need to be intuitive is to stay happy! Happiness attracts immense power and such power includes intuition. In tapping your intuition, your motivation must be happiness and contentment. Given that premise, intuition will fall to you easily.

Intuition is helpful, because sometimes it leads you to something that cannot be achieved otherwise. A lot of lives have been saved by intuition alone. Decisions are easier done if armed by this gift. Develop intuition now and reap benefits you have never imagined.

Adding Innovation into your Success Voyage, by Jorge Pinkus http://successvoyager.blinkweb.com/1/2008/08/adding-innovation-into-your-success-voyage-by-jorge-pinkus-5a6bb/ How to Build Your List of Followers (Constant Buyers) the Success Voyager Way
How You Can Develop Your Intuition, by Jorge Pinkus
Innovation
Innovation. It's a talent that everyone has, yet they think they don't. The power of innovation. If you've ever marvelled at somebody's creative prowess, guess what, you can create and innovate too. It just takes time. Everyone is born creative. The box of crayons in kindergarten were not limited to those who possessed potential; because the truth is, everybody has potential.

You know how long it took to learn to ride a bike or drive or to never commit the same mistake again? It's the same with innovation. It takes a bit of practice and a lot of time before this mind function comes easily when called. In this post I will show you few tips on how to bring innovation into your life and business and, ultimately, into your Success Voyage.

Don't listen to what other people say. Follow the beat of your own drum. Allowing for the input of other people will only bring cacophony to the music you are trying to make. If you have an original idea, don't waste your time and effort trying to make people understand. They won't. And the help you will probably get comes in the form of negative feedback. If all those geniuses listened to their peers, we would probably still be living in the middle ages.

Spend time on it. I cannot stress that enough, although, please do not mistake this tip to tell you to quit your day job entirely. Do not. This involves some tricky time management but with a little discipline you'll be able to squeeze both in.

Exercise. Take a walk. Run a mile or two. Send all those endorphins coursing through your veins. Exercising certainly clears and relaxes your mind and allows for anything to pop up.

Record your dreams. Aren't some of them just the craziest things that your conscious mind would never have thought of? If you've had these dreams before, and I'm sure have, this only shows you the untapped innovative power you have lying within. So jot down those notes. Those dreams may just create an innovative spark in you.

Find your own style. You can always tell a Van Gogh from a Matisse. You'll know Hemingway wrote something by the choice of words on the paper. So it is the same with you. People will appreciate your innovation more because it is uniquely yours and that no one else would have thought of what you were thinking. That will let people see how valuable an asset you are.

Don't hide behind nifty gadgets or tools. You don't need the most expensive set of paints to produce a masterpiece. The same way with writing. You don't need some expensive fountain pen and really smooth paper for a bestseller. In fact, J.K. Rowling wrote the first book of the Harry Potter Series on bits of tissue. So what if you've got an expensive SLR camera if you're a crappy photographer? Who cares if you've got a blinging laptop if you can't write at all? The artist actually reduces the number of tools he has as he gets better at his craft: he knows what works and what doesn't.

Nothing will work without passion. What wakes you up in the mornings? What keeps the flame burning? What is the one thing that you'll die if you don't do? Sometimes people with talent are overtaken by the people who want it more. Think the hare and the tortoise. Ellen Degeneres once said that if you're not doing something that you want to do, then you don't really want to do it. And that's true. Sometimes you just want something so bad you become a virtual unstoppable. And that is passion. Passion will keep you going.

Don't worry about inspiration. You can't force it; inspiration hits when you least expect it to, for those unpredictable yet inevitable moments you should prepare. An idea could strike you on the subway, yet alas, you poor unfortunate soul; you have no sheet of paper to scribble down a thought that could change the world. Avoid these disasters. Have a pen and paper within your arm's reach at all times.

Keep in mind that you're doing these things for your own satisfaction and not anybody else's. But soon enough they will notice, and everything should snowball from there.

Make it happen!

A Vision of Success, by Jorge Pinkus http://successvoyager.blinkweb.com/1/2008/08/a-vision-of-success-by-jorge-pinkus-55af2/ How to Build Your List of Followers (Constant Buyers) the Success Voyager Way
How You Can Develop Your Intuition, by Jorge Pinkus
A vision of success
Success is more than economic gains, titles, and degrees. Planning for success is about mapping out all the aspects of your life. Similar to a map, you need to define the following details: origin, destination, vehicle, backpack, landmarks, and route.

Origin: Who you are
A map has a starting point. Your origin is who you are right now. Most people when asked to introduce themselves would say, "Hi, I'm Jean and I am a 17-year old, senior highschool student." It does not tell you about who Jean is; it only tells you her present preoccupation. To gain insights about yourself, you need to look closely at your beliefs, values, and principles aside from your economic, professional, cultural, and civil status. Moreover, you can also reflect on your experiences to give you insights on your good and not-so-good traits, skills, knowledge, strengths, and weaknesses. Upon introspection, Jean realized that she was highly motivated, generous, service-oriented, but impatient. Her inclination was in the biological-medical field. Furthermore, she believed that life must serve a purpose, and that wars were destructive to human dignity.

Destination: A vision of who you want to be
Who do you want to be? This is your vision. Now it is important that you know yourself so that you would have a clearer idea of who you want to be; and the things you want to change whether they are attitudes, habits, or points of view. If you hardly know yourself, then your vision and targets for the future would also be unclear. Your destination should cover all the aspects of your being: the physical, emotional, intellectual, and spiritual. Continuing Jean's story, after she defined her beliefs, values, and principles in life, she decided that she wanted to have a life dedicated in serving her fellowmen.

Vehicle: Your Mission
A vehicle is the means by which you can reach your destination. It can be analogized to your mission or vocation in life. To a great extent, your mission would depend on what you know about yourself. Bases on Jean's self-assessment, she decided that she was suited to become a doctor, and that she wanted to become one. Her chosen vocation was a medical doctor. Describing her vision-mission fully: it was to live a life dedicated to serving her fellowmen as a doctor in conflict-areas.

Travel Bag: Your knowledge, skills, and attitude
Food, drinks, medicines, and other travelling necessities are contained in a bag. Applying this concept to your life map, you also bring with you certain knowledge, skills, and attitudes. These determine your competence and help you in attaining your vision. Given such, there is a need for you to assess what knowledge, skills, and attitudes you have at present and what you need to gain along the way. This two-fold assessment will give you insights on your landmarks or measures of success. Jean realized that she needed to gain professional knowledge and skills on medicine so that she could become a doctor. She knew that she was a bit impatient with people so she realized that this was something she wanted to change.

Landmarks and Route: S.M.A.R.T. objectives
Landmarks confirm if you are on the right track while the route determines the travel time. Thus, in planning out your life, you also need to have landmarks and a route. These landmarks are your measures of success. These measures must be specific, measurable, attainable, realistic, and time bound. Thus you cannot set two major landmarks such as earning a master's degree and a doctorate degree within a period of three years, since the minimum number of years to complete a master's degree is two years. Going back to Jean as an example, she identified the following landmarks in her life map: completing a bachelor's degree in biology by the age of 21; completing medicine by the age of 27; earning her specialization in infectious diseases by the age of 30; getting deployed in local public hospitals of their town by the age of 32; and serving as doctor in war-torn areas by the age of 35.

Anticipate Turns, Detours, and Potholes
The purpose of your life map is to minimize hasty and spur-of-the-moment decisions that can make you lose your way. But oftentimes our plans are modified along the way due to some inconveniences, delays, and other situations beyond our control. Like in any path, there are turns, detours, and potholes. Thus, we must anticipate them and adjust accordingly.

Make it happen!

10 Ways to Communicate the Success Voyager Way, by Jorge Pinkus http://successvoyager.blinkweb.com/1/2008/08/10-ways-to-communicate-the-success-voyager-way-by-jorge-pinkus-548bf/ How to Build Your List of Followers (Constant Buyers) the Success Voyager Way
How You Can Develop Your Intuition, by Jorge Pinkus
Communicating for Success
Communication... There is so much to know about communication and conversation that anyone, even I, could ever realize.

You can go through watching talk shows; radio programs; clubs dedicated to public speaking; ordinary conversations; certain rules still apply when it comes to interaction through words. It may sound tedious, I know, but even though it's your mouth that's doing the work, your brain works twice as hard to churn out a lot of things you know. So what better way to start learning to be an effective and successful communicator that to know the very person closest to you: yourself.

1. Know what you know.
Education is all about learning the basics, but to be an effective speaker is to practice what you've learned. My stint as guest at every Toastmasters' meeting I go to taught me that we all have our limitations, but that doesn't mean we can't learn to keep up and share what we know.

2. Ask questions and listen.
It's just as important as asking questions. Sometimes listening to the sound of our own voice can teach us to be a little bit confident with ourselves and to say the things we believe in with conviction.

3. Be humble
As Benjamin Franklin adviced: Be like Socrates and Jesus and be humble. We all make mistakes, and sometimes we tend to slur our words, stutter, and probably mispronounce certain words even though we know what it means, but rarely use it only to impress listeners. So in a group, don't be afraid to ask if you're saying the right word properly and if they're unsure about it then make a joke out of it. I promise you it'll make everyone laugh and you can get away with it as well.

4. Maintain eye contact
There's a lot to say when it comes to directing your attention to your audience with an eye-catching gaze. It's important that you keep your focus when talking to a large group in a meeting or a gathering, even though he or she may be gorgeous.

5. Add humor
A little bit of humor can do wonders to lift the tension, or worse boredom when making your speech. That way, you'll get the attention of the majority of the crowd and they'll feel that you're just as approachable, and as human to those who listen. Just remember that injecting humor is not the same as telling jokes (although if you are good at telling them, by all means, go ahead and tell a related-to-the-story good one...).

6. Mingle, interact, talk
Interaction is all about mingling with other people. You'll get a lot of ideas, as well as knowing what people make them as they are.

7. Talk to the mirror
Admit it, there are times you sing to yourself in the shower. I know I do! Listening to the sound of your own voice while you practice your speech in front of a mirror can help correct the stress areas of your pitch. And while you're at it you can spruce up as well.

8. Do it with a smile
A smile says it all much like eye contact. There's no point on grimacing or frowning in a meeting or a gathering, unless it's a wake. You can better express what you're saying when you smile.

9. Seek and follow a role model
There must be at least one or two people in your life you have listened to when they're at a public gathering or maybe at church. Sure they read their lines, but taking a mental note of how they emphasize what they say can help you once you take center stage.

10. Prepare, prepare, prepare
Make the best out of preparation rather than just scribbling notes and often in a hurried panic. Some people like to write things down on index cards, while other resort to being a little more silly as they look at their notes written on the palm of their hand (not for clammy hands, please). Just be comfortable with what you know since you enjoy your work.

And that about wraps it up. These suggestions are rather concrete in edgewise, but I've learned to empower myself when it comes to public or private speaking and it never hurts to be with people to listen how they make conversations and meetings far more enjoyable as well as educational.

Make it happen!

How You Can Develop Your Intuition, by Jorge Pinkus
Ask for referrals always
In a live Sales and Marketing Seminar, I asked the participants the following question:

When you already have closed a sale with a new client, how do you ask for that lifeline of every savvy salesperson: a referral?

POSSIBLE ACTIONS:
a) I tell them: "You know that in my business, meeting new people is always very important to me. Would you be kind enough to give me the names and phone numbers of two or three of your acquaintances?"
b) Referrals? I am the one who gets new clients. I never ask for referrals!
c) I send them a thank-you note after the sale and in the body of the
note I ask for a referral, in a non-threathening, kind way.
d) Pray for inspiration, since I really don't know. Seriously, I need an
advice...
e) I take out my notebook and tell the prospect: "Do you know that you
can benefit some friends of yours with our relationship? Surely they'll thank you if you put us in contact so they may explore if what we offer might be of service to them. For instance, who do you know in this office building who you may introduce to me?"

What do you think is the best answer?

Before reading the results of this [very] informal poll of other Success Voyagers like you, take a moment to answer. Then reading the following will be more beneficial.

These are the answers received:

a) 26%
b) 0%
c) 7%
d) 4%
e) 63%

What I think, if somebody is interested in my thoughts ;) is this:

Of course, we have a clear winner: Answer e) with almost two thirds of the total.

And, of course, it came an easy winner, since the wording in this last way of asking for referrals is clearly indicating the benefits to the client. And it uses an almost magical question: "For instance, who do you know in this office building who you may introduce to me?"

This question (instead of just asking for "someone you know") makes the other person start thinking about the people they know but who are right there, in the same place! You will not need to leave the building to meet them. Besides, it asks the other person to introduce you personally, not just give you their names and phone numbers.

That is a very important time-saver, since you'll leave that building with an appointment already made (good thing, isn't it?).

Compare it with the answer a), where all you are saying is that *you* need something. It will be easy for the prospect to give you a referral if he/she sees that somebody they know (besides you!) will benefit.

Answer c) is *another* way of getting referrals. In fact, the professional salesperson is always looking for opportunities to ask their prospects, clients, associates, colleagues, acquaintances, etc. for referrals.

But what answer c) suggests is really not the BEST way to ask for referrals, since the best time to do it is when you are face-to-face with your new client and, especially, when he/she has just bought something from you.

Answer b) would be a total loser in sales. Everybody *knows* to their heart that to survive and to be the best in sales you always will need referrals. Nobody answered b), so all of them (and, I hope, you too) deserve a well-gained applause (clap-clap-clap...).

And the 4% who answered d) are in the right place! Reading and studying this Success Voyager blog will give you ideas and techniques about how to maximize your sales, marketing and personal productivity, on and off the Internet.
